GOD AND I...ALONE
1. STOP…turn God loose on all your cares as you make a list of them and cast them on Him. REST a minute. LISTEN FOR THE VOICE OF GOD. Let your guard down. Sing out loud a praise song preparing your heart through praise and prayer. Confess to Jesus the deepest darkest sins of your life. Worship the Lord.
2. STUDY the scripture with an awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence. Yes, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what God wants you to learn as you study, phrase by phrase the verse for the day. Slow, deliberately dig, as if it is the first time you have read the verse.
OH, WHAT A LESSON CHRIST TAUGHT ABOUT PRAYER AND FAITH IN LUKE 18:1-8. WHAT CAN YOU LEARN AGAIN?
THE FINAL VERSE STOPS OUR HEARTS.... "Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, whall he find faith on the earth?
Another version puts it this way,
When I, the Messiah, returns, how many willl I find who have faith and are praying?
YES, WE KEEP ON PRAYING, BUT
Sometimes God waits so that we might trust Him more fully.
Sometimes God waits so that our attitude will be adjusted and refined to reflect Christ attitude.
Sometimes God waits so that He can finish the work He is doing in us.
Sometimes God waits because He is preparing for an even greater blessing than the one for which we are asking.
3. SUMMARIZE the passage and the lessons the Holy Spirit has for you. Add your own songs. Get someone to join you.
4. SUBMIT to the Lord by writing down what you must do to accomplish the lesson. Now,
"Be Still and know [size=18]that He is God[/size[/i]
